To the edge of the world
This long and skinny country snaking down on the western side of the South America, with mountains and landmarks so different and diverse they should be continents apart. Memories of my childhood, watching the adventures of schooner Speranta (Hope) sailing across the the Atlantic ocean ‘till the edge of the world’, Tierra del Fuego. From the historic Santiago to the narrow streets of Valparaiso and staggeringly mountains and desert, this was truly a racing heart adventure to the edge of the world. Santiago is a city of extreme contrast, skyscrapers and small flea markets in the same place, the new world versus the old world. You can sip fine wine while looking out over the Andes at sunset, or explore beyond the city limits, charming wine country and the wild Pacific coast. Read the rest of the story here
